About Regulation 40
Under the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, registered persons must notify Ofsted of serious notifiable events. Death of a child must be notified without delay. All other notifiable events must be notified within 24 hours. Notifications must include details of the incident, actions taken, and planned next steps. Notifications are made via the Ofsted online notification portal using your home's URN.
